Even then, I somehow sensed that photographs remember what people forget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the final days of my mother\u2019s life, images began to appear \u2014 images that helped me feel and understand the surreal transition from life to death. That experience made my early longing to stop time through photography more tangible, more urgent. Since then, I\u2019ve known: I want to pause with what is about to disappear \u2014 and hold it gently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My fine art photography is an ode to impermanence. I seek to balance the melancholy of what is passing with the quiet beauty of the moment. The cloud shifts, the bird flies on, the light fades \u2014 and that is exactly what makes this moment meaningful. In my still visual poems, I try to capture something of what briefly exists \u2014 and then is gone for good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>I hold beauty gently, just as it begins to move on.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years, my way of seeing has changed. Where I once photographed with my head, I now follow my heart. I look without judgment and let the image come to me. In that open attention, I find simplicity, stillness, and authenticity. My strength lies in sincere connection and attentiveness \u2014 to people, and to the natural world that continuously inspires me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nature became my language, my solace, my mirror. The gradual fading of my father into the fog of dementia deepened my sense of transience. Growing older myself only amplifies my desire to cherish, capture, and preserve small moments. Within life\u2019s vulnerability, I search for meaning \u2014 and lightness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My images are minimalist and earthy in tone. They breathe calm, space, and a subtle sense of freedom. Sometimes it feels as though something in nature gently whispers, \u201csee me.\u201d Like a cloud leaning into the ear of a pine tree \u2014 just for a moment, and then it drifts on. That fleeting instant is what I long to witness, feel, and hold.
